I was charged with a 12500 VC, driving without a license. The owner of the car was drunk. Is that a good defense?

Question: I was charged with a 12500 VC, driving without a license. The owner of the car was drunk. Is that a good defense?

Answer: To be honest, I wouldn’t say that is a great defense….the prosecutor will likely come back with “you should have called a cab.” If there are more extenuating circumstances in addition to that though, it could come into play.  That being said, I have been successful in getting VC 12500 driving without a license charges reduced to infractions (fine only) and completely dismissed.  What court is your case in?  Call me at 818-336-1384.  Thanks,
