Question: Will I be excused from DUI since I am still 17?

Answer: You can be convicted of DUI even if you are under 21. Also, there is a zero tolerance issue since you are under 21 and are facing a 1 year drivers license suspension if convicted, even if this is a first offense DUI. You should hire an attorney in your area to handle this case. Also keep in mind that you (or your attorney) only has 10 days from date of arrest to request a DMV hearing, or else face automatic suspension from DMV.
